400 Outlander carb problems

I have a 2006 Can Am 400 max with 1300 miles. I recently took on a 300 mile ride here in Utah. I had fresh fuel, new plug and it started, idled and run great. It was not a real dusty ride . Back home and having problems. I cleaned the air filter but it really did not need it, so figure it has to be related to the carb. In fact before and during the ride all you had to do is hit the starter one time and it would start the first crank like a diesel.
Now it will not idle at all but runs super great otherwise although I do hear a carb problem ( cut out ) thru the exhaust but has not affected power.
The plug is black but is not wet . Have read all of the fixes on this forum and not sure I have the patience that many of you have had tearing into the carbs. I have used Sea Foam fuel cleaner in every tank of fuel .
Is their anything I can do short of carb removal.

Thanks,
Jim

You're going to have to pull the carb and clean it...be sure to check the float adjustment.

Thanks for the reply Titan. I have been reading about your carb problems on this forum. Is there anything I need to know about taking the carb apart that might get me into trouble??
Did you have a blowup descrption of the carb and parts?

No worries...
The only thing I can offer as far as what to watch out for...
Make sure you remember the order of the spacers on the needle (I used my iphone to take pictures while I took it apart) and carefull with the rubber diaphram.

No blow up picture but seriously it's not all that intimidating as there are really few moving parts to this carb.

Just take your time, keep things clean clean clean
