looks like some of my digital dash led bars are out on the mph display.
bike is cover under warranty for one more week so im good to go BUT;;;

i am a little concerned that i am reading about way too much dumb **** going on with these things and not just on this site. can-am has done so much for the atv industry, that's why i came from a long history of jap bikes to an outty.
Dont get me wrong....i like my wheeler but i think that can-am has a quality issue going on with some of the things that go into the machine.
talked to the service guy and asked him if it was a common thing to replace and he said that he has replaced a few already. i was surprised to hear that!!
i know things happen and nothings perfect but i think if can-am buckled down a little on their build they would be right on top of the industry,

I've been riding Bombardier/Can-am/Skidoo forever and it was the quality and reliability of these previous machines that persuaded me to spend more for a new Outlander than any other brand.
I'm sorely disappointed in the Can-am and it's constant need for parts/repairs, especially since I'm missing a great ride today because the ball joints let go on my Outty.
The owner of my Can-am dealership has even voiced his disappointment with purchasing his newest Can-am as its noticeably worse than the last.

yes..i couldn't agree with you more. i have had to put new brake pads all the way around too. i have used cheap ass ebay 15.00 dollar brake pads before with way better results than what were on a new machine!!!
Now i have to snorkel my cvt exhaust too because the heat is so intense that i have to move my foot/leg away from it. there are other things too like the whinny belt too but enough for now.

i was so pumped to get my first can am.....but its most likely my last.

i know but the cvt is like a fan that blows the hot air down to the foot/leg area
again...put your hand down by the cvt cover and floorboard and rev the engine, you can feel the air flow with the throttle. that is the cvt air going over the exhaust heating it up and blowing it down

What are you riding? All G2 bikes have cvt snorkled up to the pod already. Pop your pod off and look at the pyramid shaped screen, that's your cvt intake. The cvt exhaust is routed into the exhaust heat shield to help cool the exhaust. This rush of air as you throttle is air that has gone through the cvt, exited, then pulled the heat you feel from the exhaust pipe and pushing it out.

yes, all kinds of noises. everyone says its normal but i have never had a more noisy machine, it may very well be normal but not in my world.

Good or bad I don't know but most of the noises are just from the weights in the clutch snapping in and out as your on and off the throttle. Anouther notices I've heard was a smack as the drive train gears collide. Usually only going really slow and on/off the throttle will I hear any of these noises.

yea..i checked that too and they were ok thanks

The L 570 does not come equipped with the pyramid screen. It has to be purchased separately. As far as cooling the exhaust, I highly doubt that is why the cvt exhaust is routed there. Not knocking you, I just don't see any reason Can-Am would have to cool the engine exhaust before it exits the muffler. It seems to be a cost cutter more than anything else. As far as popping and other noises, I greased the hell out of mine this past weekend. I had my son jump up and down on the bike while I pumped grease into the fittings and I got rid of all but the clutch noise. Just greasing the bike did not cut it. It wasn't getting grease into all areas without some motion to work it into the bushings.

Im am rerouting the cvt exhaust not the intake up by the pod.

I have owned many 3 and 4 wheelers over the years. I was excited to purchase (2) Can Am's this year. Our 2011 Outlander XT 400 has been ok except the horrible brake pads and knocking clutch. My 2016 Outlander 570 L lacks a few things for the cost spent. Clunky suspension is horrible, whine from rear end or driveline and heat from the CVT fan is ridiculous. I impressed with power and handling, but for this caliber machine these issues are not acceptable. Rode a 2016 Yamaha Kodiak this past weekend and have to say was impressed...

You're going to have problems with every machine. If you don't want to have problems and/or don't like to work on your machine then you shouldn't have bought one in the first place!

I've owned most big brands and they all have their flaws. I would take my Outlander over everything else.

Even tanks have problems!

I like the Can-Am because its comfortable and fast.
for the rest is is a piece of expensive noisy crap that consumes more gas than my brothers 6 cilinder jaguar. and It has lots of technical mishaps,. ( jou want a list? ) Ime happy that it starts every day. unfortunate Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki produce nothing alike, I'd certainly go for japanese. Did you take it apart yet? it has parts from all over the world, from Vietnam the air filter to the seats Mexico, the engine Austria etc. etc. might even find some parts made in the USA ggggggg,.

I think they are final assembled in mexico. I live in South Texas and work in the area close to mexico. The amount of big trucks I see with canam and sea doo crates coming out of the border transfer area is rediculous. ...

I have had my share of issues with my 2015 800 xmr.. fuel pump, sending unit for fuel gauge, melted tank vent tube on exhsust, faulty tps sensor, faulty throttle body and battery discharging.. The only thing that got fixed under warranty was battery. . Right now I have only had the bike 8 months.. my dealer has screwed me over every time I had an issue... so I just fix it myself...

As far as my wife's 2016 570 xmr. Only issue was exhaust warping side plastics. Fixxed that with new exhaust and then today the preload adjuster broke in half today when I went to turn it.. hers has been great. We got it about a month after I bought my 800

wooow there tough guy....first of all,, i can wrench on my wheeler no problem.
second of all, i just came off a 2012 king quad and put 2000 miles on it with ZERO issues. i have been doing this for a long time and have had many wheelers, as far as the japanese bikes, they have very few issues. never replaced a guage pod in any of them, just my 2016 can-am. better think a little before you start scolding people cowboy

Just bought a 2016 outlander L 570 max. The heat coming out of this thing is stupid. The noise from the gears is also ridiculous. I too came from a King Quad, n 05 with 8500 miles. The Suzuki has been solid with no weird noises and zero heat. I think Can am needs to go back to the drawing board and do some serious redisigning. I shouldn't have to work or modify Anything!! on a brand new wheeler to make it more comfortable or quieter.

finally someone who sees what i see!! yes i know ,i have wrenched on this more than i have my king quad in less than 6 months. had my kq for three years!!
and put more money into it too in 6 months. as i have said before,, if they got their **** together and concentrated on a good product and not making millions they would be on top!!! the rotax is awesome but it goes down hill from there.........
